Short description:

The GE MAC 5500 is a clinical-grade 12-lead resting ECG system intended for cardiology offices, hospitals, and outpatient diagnostic environments. This unit is configured with the CAM-14 acquisition module and mounted on a mobile trolley for convenient room-to-room transport. The system supports full 12-lead ECG acquisition with onboard thermal printing and battery operation.

This unit has been tested using an ECG simulator and successfully generated rhythm strips and complete 12-lead ECG printouts.

System configuration includes CAM-14 acquisition module, integrated thermal printer, modular rolling trolley, ECG lead set, rechargeable battery, and documentation/media.

Condition Summary:

  • Main Unit: Moderate cosmetic wear consistent with normal use (light scratches/scuffs); no structural cracks observed
  • Display & Controls: Screen clear; buttons and keys responsive
  • Trolley: Structurally solid; rolls smoothly; minor cosmetic marks from use
  • Printer Area / Paper Tray: Functional and intact
  • CAM-14 Module: Minor scuffs; housing intact; all ports labeled and secure
  • Cables & Leads: Good overall condition; no cuts or exposed wiring noted
Functionality:
  • Powers on normally and completes self-test
  • Tested using ECG simulator
  • Successfully printed rhythm strips and full 12-lead ECG
  • Resting ECG functionality verified
  • All lead inputs responsive during simulator testing
  • Internal printer feeds and prints correctly
  • System date/time accessible and adjustable (currently requires timezone adjustment)
Battery Note:
A replacement NiMH battery (labeled P/N 5962, dated 08/2019) is installed; however, during testing the battery did not appear to hold charge reliably. Unit operates properly on AC power. Buyer should plan on battery replacement for dependable portable operation.

Buyer Advisory Note:
This is a pre-owned medical device. Although tested with an ECG simulator and found operational, buyers should perform their own verification and calibration prior to clinical use. Battery does not appear to hold charge and replacement is recommended. The LA limb lead utilizes a different adapter style, which buyers should review carefully for compatibility.

Shipping Note:
This system will ship on a pallet via freight due to size and trolley configuration. Standard delivery is curbside. Inside delivery, liftgate service, or residential delivery may incur additional charges—please advise in advance if specialized delivery is required.
 
Freight & Packaging Information
If you choose to use your own shipping carrier, a $150 handling fee applies. This covers professional palletization, strapping, and protective cardboarding to help ensure your item ships safely.

For international shipments, we also offer custom crating for a flat fee of $300 to provide added protection during transit.
