Short description:

This is a Stryker 275-601-500 Small Joint Shaver Handpiece designed for arthroscopy and small-joint surgical applications. The handpiece shows small insulation tears along the cable, which are clearly visible in the images. Because of the cable damage and absence of a pedal, this unit has NOT undergone full functional testing and is offered strictly as-is for parts, repair, or refurbishment only.

Condition:

 

  • Metal housing shows normal cosmetic wear: scratches and scuffs from prior use
  • Small insulation tears are present on the cable near mid-section (see images)
  • No deep cuts or visibly exposed copper in the photographed areas
  • Strain reliefs at both the connector end and handpiece body appear intact
  • Connector is in good cosmetic condition with no dents or cracks, all pins intact, clean, not bent or broken
  • No obvious burn marks, overheating, or fluid intrusion observed
  • Lever/engagement mechanism moves freely
Functionality Summary:
  • Device was not fully tested on a console
  • Was not tested for rotation, torque, speed control, or load behavior
  • Not tested due to cable insulation damage & missing pedal (required for activation on CORE systems)
Control Mechanism Clarification:
 
On Stryker CORE systems, the shaver handpiece itself does NOT initiate rotation.
Operation—including start/stop, direction, and speed—is controlled by The CORE Console, and The Foot Pedal
The lever on the handpiece typically functions as a mechanical engagement/unlocking mechanism, but it cannot activate rotation on its own without console + pedal input.
