Short description:

Stryker REF 275-601-500 Small Joint Shaver Handpiece for orthopedic and arthroscopic applications. This handpiece integrates with Stryker CORE and TPS consoles and is intended for use with Stryker 275-series cutting accessories. Unit was recognized by a CORE console during connection testing.

 

Due to a tear in the cable insulation, the device is offered as-is, with no guarantee of full clinical functionality.

Condition:

 

  • Handpiece shows scratches, scuffs, and cosmetic wear from prior use.
  • Cable insulation tear present near the handpiece junction (visible in photos).
  • Strain relief at both handpiece and connector end is intact.
  • Fisher Scientific connector is in good shape with no dents or cracks, all pins straight and intact.
  • Lever on the handpiece moves freely.
  • No major structural cracks, corrosion, or burnt areas.

  • Full operational testing (rotation, torque, speed, load) was NOT performed due to missing pedal.

  • Control Mechanism Clarification:

    • On Stryker CORE systems, operation (start/stop, speed control, direction) is typically regulated by the CORE console and the foot pedal, NOT by the handpiece lever alone.

    • The lever on the shaver is usually an unlocking or engagement mechanism, but it does not activate or control rotation independently without the proper console + pedal input.

  • Because the foot pedal was not available, functional rotation could not be tested.
  • Device is sold as-is, for parts, repair, or non-patient use only.
