Short description:

Hettich EBA 20C benchtop centrifuge with 2-place swing rotor (Ref. E1824) and included buckets/adapters. The centrifuge powers on and runs but appears to be fixed at 4000 RPM and 2-minute cycle time; RPM and timer controls were not responsive during testing.

Condition (Visual & Physical):

 

  • Body & Casing: No dents or cracks; some scratches and scuff marks consistent with prior use.
  • Feet/Base: All four feet intact; Allen key is mounted to the base with its retaining cord.
  • Lid: Transparent, intact, crack-free. Opens/closes properly.
  • Rotor & Buckets: Rotor and both swing buckets present and intact. Buckets marked usable until 08/2017 (expired for clinical use, but still physically intact).
  • Soft Pads/Controls: Start and Stop soft pads are functional. However, RPM and time adjustment soft pads could not be manipulated—device seems locked to 4000 RPM and 2 minutes.
  • Warning Labels: “Rear air vent expels substances, position unit away from personnel” warning intact and legible.
