Short description:

Pre-owned Thermo Sorvall CW2+ Cell Washing Centrifuge offered for parts or repair. Device powers on and front panel is responsive. The lid fails to open despite visible "LID OPEN" indicator and troubleshooting efforts. No rotor or buckets included. Internal bowl and calibration pump appear to be in good shape. 

Condition Summary:

• Cosmetic: Very good overall; no cracks or dents observed. Some surface scratches and scuffs from prior use. ONE SCREW IS MISSING ON THE LEFT SIDE ABOVE THE TIMER LCD.
• LCD Display: Bright and functional.
• Touchpad: Responsive; soft keys intact, no tears or visible damage.
• Tubing & Pump: Device includes connected calibration pump tubing and hospital-grade power cord.
• Lid: Lid opening mechanism is faulty. Lid was mechanically opened from the rear for inspection.
• Rotor/Buckets: Not included. Unit does not contain Cat. #477 rotor or any associated accessories.
• Accessories: Power cord and fluid tubing are included. No user manual, no buckets, no tubes, and no other accessories are included.

1. Rear Panel Warnings:

2. Pump Compartment Warning:

3. Top Lid Warning:
   

   • “CAUTION: Do not operate with an unbalanced load.
     

   •  Do not run saline pump without rotor and plunger in place. 
     

   • Do not get liquid on the top of the motor. Make sure the entire length of drain tubing is lower than the bottom of the unit so that fluid does not build up in coils. 
     

   • Keep inside of tubing clean and clear.”
     

4. Internal Bowl Warning:
   

   • “CAUTION: Remove this bowl for cleaning. Excessive liquid can cause corrosion of motor.”
