Short Description:

Medtronic / Covidien BIS LOC 4-Channel module designed for BIS anesthesia depth monitoring systems. Unit includes module-to-monitor interface cable (P/N 10115253). The module shows normal cosmetic wear and failed initialization during testing.

Overall Condition
Good cosmetic condition with signs of normal prior clinical use.
Housing
Module housing shows light scuffs and surface scratches consistent with routine handling. No cracks or structural damage observed.
Rear Mounting Clamp
Posterior mounting clamp is intact and in good condition.
Connectors
Multipin connectors appear clean and intact with no visible bent pins or corrosion.
Cable Condition
Interface cable (~10 ft) is in good overall physical condition. A slight insulation tear is noted at the strain relief where the cable meets the connector end. No exposed internal wiring is visible and the remainder of the cable jacket appears intact.
Patient Interface Port
Patient interface connector is clean and appears structurally intact.


Functionality Summary:

The module was connected to a Covidien BIS Complete Monitor (REF 185-0151) using the included interface cable.
During initialization the monitor displayed the following error message:
“BISx initialization error 502 [1502]
Reconnect BISx and try again.”
The module failed to initialize, preventing the BIS system from entering operational mode.
