Short description:

The Siemens ACUSON 14L5 is a high-frequency linear array ultrasound transducer designed for vascular, small parts, and superficial imaging applications. This unit was tested on a Siemens S2000 system and demonstrated functional 2D and Color Doppler performance during basic evaluation.

This transducer was tested using a Siemens ACUSON S2000 diagnostic ultrasound system (system not included in sale).

 

Condition Summary:

  • Connector: Siemens proprietary S2000-style transducer connector with integrated ID module; connector housing is intact with no cracks observed; pins appear straight; locking mechanism present and functional; no corrosion noted
  • Cable: Approximately 8 ft; no cuts or exposed wiring observed
  • Strain Relief: Tear noted on the probe-side strain relief; area has been wrapped with white tape (see images)
  • Probe Head & Handle: Moderate cosmetic wear; scratches present; small chips to housing near the nose
  • Acoustic Lens: Stress effects visible on the lens surface (no open tears observed)
  • Overall Cosmetic Condition: Fair, due to strain-relief tear and cosmetic wear on probe head/handle
Functionality / Testing Summary:
 
Tested on Siemens ACUSON S2000 system (not included)
  • Air Scan: Performed; appears generally smooth with possible minor imperfections
  • Phantom Scan: Appears smooth with no obvious image dropouts observed
  • Body Scan: Basic vascular scan performed at the right carotid; vessel lumen visualized and Color Doppler flow appeared strong and responsive (see images)
No additional anatomy was scanned. Only basic functionality testing was performed. No formal calibration or performance report is available. Buyers are encouraged to review provided images to make an informed decision.
