Short description:

Philips S7-2 Omni adult transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) ultrasound transducer with connector protective cover and storage case. Unit was tested on a Philips HD11 ultrasound system and was successfully recognized, activated, and calibrated. Air scan, color flow Doppler, CPI, and TDI functions were observed during basic evaluation.

Condition Summary:

• Connector includes protective cover; connector housing shows no cracks or structural damage and locking mechanism is intact.
• All identification labels are legible.
• Approx. 6 ft ultrasound probe cable is intact with no cuts, tears, or exposed wiring; strain reliefs are in good condition.
• Probe mechanical body is in great shape with only light cosmetic scratches/scuffs consistent with normal clinical use.
• Control knobs and side buttons are responsive and functioning.
• Insertion tube is in good condition with no cuts, tears, or visible degeneration; proximal strain relief is intact.
• Articulation/angulation section moves properly and appears intact.
• Scan head shows no cracks; posterior surface may have light cosmetic marks; acoustic lens appears smooth.
• Storage case with custom foam cutouts is included and in good condition with no major tears or foam degradation.

Overall cosmetic condition: Good

Functionality / Testing Summary:

• Transducer was connected to a Philips HD11 ultrasound system (not included).
• System recognized the probe, activated it, and calibration completed successfully.
• Air scan appears normal.
• Phantom images were captured; however, due to limitations of the available phantom at our warehouse, quantitative assessment of phantom results is not provided.
• Basic body scan performed at the right carotid demonstrated visualization of carotid lumen and blood flow.
• Color flow Doppler, CPI, and TDI functions were observed and appeared responsive during testing.

No full clinical examination was performed with this transducer.

Based on the above limited testing and observations, the device appears to be working.
